On Monday, October 30, The little explorers had it’s first special event which was a Halloween pumpkin hunt. I am so overly satisfied with how great of a turn out this was. Everyone that participated in the event were super helpful and appreciative. It was a busy morning for our Nature Playground, we ended up being just shy of 100 participants with a count of about 90 adults and little ones.
The morning started with a meet up at the trail head, and a cuteness overload of toddlers dressed up with their best Halloween costumes. There was chickens, unicorns, monkeys, tigers, monsters, porcupines and many many more. The whole circle of life wandering trough the trails in the lush rain forest of Squamish.
There was pumpkins of all sizes hiding along the obstacle course and the kids had to find them all and read the clues attached to them for a hint on where to find the next one. Walking on long falling trees, jumping on the stepping logs, going across a suspension bridge and swinging on all sort of different swings were all part of the course. The little ones had a lot of fun and wanted to go trough the course over and over again. A natural playground in the woods what kids wouldn’t like that? The last pumpkin was hiding in the little Tipi with bags of treats and delicious muffins for everyone. To end this fun event, we had a Halloween photo shoot with the awesome Candee Clark so everyone can keep great memories of their morning out in the woods.
Thanks to everyone that helped out and made this day so fun.
Looking forward to organize more event like this in the near future.
What kind of event or activity would you like to see next? I would love to have your ideas on more fun event we can make happen with the little explorers community.
