Instead of going out for dinner and doing our usual valentines night thing... this year, we focused on spending some quality time with the whole family, (dad is missing on the picture but he did spent the day with us)

❤️I REALLY NEEDED TO SHARE THIS ❤️
One day, I’ve asked Erika to write a short testimonial about her experience while adventuring with @thelittleexplorers_ and she just went on and poor out this beautiful testimonial. It was too long to share the whole thing on our website page but I just couldn’t handle not sharing this with more people. Thanks for always being part of our adventures since the beginning!
Here is what she wrote.

“I was so happy when Marie-Andree decided to organize hikes for busy toddlers.
🌲
I had joined a hiking group when my son was a baby and loved getting out with him and exploring with a group. I didn’t know a lot of hikes here in Squamish since I had just moved here. So getting out with a group was the support I needed to explore and meet new parents in my new community.
🌲
But once my son became mobile, he no longer wanted to go on long hikes in the backpack.
🌲
I was so sad to no longer be able to get out with a group and get out in nature with my son.
🌲
I was very intimidated to take on long ambitious hikes with my son’s unpredictability.
🌲
Then I learned Marie was organizing a parent and toddler hiking group!
It made so much sense!! Now we were able to get out and enjoy hiking again, on outings with age-appropriate expectations. With the support of other parents and of course Marie leading the group, I could comfortably go out and explore trails again with my son!! I was so happy!!
🌲
Marie plans hikes that are fun and manageable for parents with toddlers. I love seeing how the kids can walk and explore without the pressure of keeping up with a fast pace. Sometimes the snacking is the focal point of the whole outing!

I’m learning new hikes and meeting more families in our community and Timo is his happiest just being left to explore and adventure at his own pace.

I am so great full for all Marie’s efforts to get kids and their parent out into our natural environment, and for making it so stress-free and fun!!
🌲
We live in such an amazingly beautiful place and I want my kids to grow up knowing how to navigate safely and respectfully through it.”
