It’s a trail that we walk pretty often and every single time we go by this tree, either Jackson or Deegan goes to it to stare at the mushrooms growing on it!

This year, we are experimenting with starting a community garden with young children.

I won’t be surprise if there is random seeds planted where they shouldn’t be

The vegetable rows probably won’t be a perfect strait line

Some plants might be a little over watered
🌱
But what we are teaching the kids is priceless
🌱
To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow and this is one skill you want every little ones to learn

It’s so easy to go to the grocery store and buy produce, but this isn’t where food come from... we want to teach our children where food really comes from and how precious it is and how hard you need to work to grow your own food

I’m certain they will really appreciate tasting the food that they have been working so hard for month to grow

Is there anything better than the taste of fresh food that just got picked from the garden?

Today for our second meet up of our gardening series, we all tried out immature brocoli flower from last years plant! The little ones loved it and kept on asking for more!

It’s amazing to see the difference it makes to see where the food comes from!

I have so much trouble getting my toddler to eat broccoli for dinner, but today, like every other toddlers, he was munching on the broccoli all morning!
